"There's so many times I've let you down..."
From: Leaving On A Jet Plane ~ The Mamas and the Papas
I'm talking to my manuscript which has been in-progress since the 3-Day Novel Writing Contest on Labour Day weekend of 2009.
It's so important to continue writing and revising as you work your way through a novel and yet, there have been complete weeks, months, years that have gone by on certain projects for me.
For example, tonight I spent time entering edits given to me on Chapters 24, 25, 26 and 27 from my Writers' Group going back to a year ago!
That's too long.
But I haven't given up--ever.
I continue to work through this novel-to-be.
I have submitted it to Breakwater Books in Newfoundland (Sept/2014) and am still waiting to hear back. They promise on their website to read all submissions, which include a query letter and the first 30 pages of your manuscript.
One neat thing that has happened is I've started a FB group with three gals I know from my hometown of Goulds, Newfoundland who all want to write a book. Initially, I thought it might be novels, but some of them may write non-fiction. We'll see how it evolves.
Seeing their interest in starting to write a book with no previous experience writing novels was inspiration enough to get me typing again.
Time to continue onward...
